Earlier this year, Jackie – team member and a regular face at Pecks Farm Shop for many years – tried growing tomatoes from seed. You can see from this massive plant and Jackie’s massive smile just how well it went. So, we began selling the plants to raise money to help support the invaluable work done at Willen Hospice.
Run by local people for local people, Willen Hospice delivers calm, compassionate care and gives patients who are coming to the end of their lives, specialist care in a friendly, peaceful environment.
We’d like to say a massive thank you, firstly to Jackie for the great idea – and for growing the tomato plants, and then to all our customers, who were happy to support Jackie’s venture and buy them at £1 each for such a good cause.
